Free Pumpkin headband crochet pattern

Crochet this cute and quick headband perfect for fall or halloween in a soft chenille yarn.

gauge: 6 sc x 5 rows = 5 x 5 cm (2x2")
To crochet this awesome fall headband you will need the following:
Chenille yarn in: White, orange and green. less than 1 skein is needed of the white.
Hook: 6.0 mm

Terms used in this pattern:
ch – chain
sl st – slip stitch
sc – single crochet
dc cluster – double crochet cluster: 2 double crochet stitches worked together in the same stitch
sc inc – single crochet increase: 2
sc in the same stitch
G - Stitches worked with Green colored yarn
O - Stitches worked with Orange colored yarn
W - Stitches worked with White colored yarn

Crochet the headband with pumpkins
Starting with white chenille yarn and 6.0mm crochet hook:
ch 56, form a circle and sl st your chain together into the first chain.
Round 1: ch 1, W - 3 sc, [G - sc, W - 7 sc] x 6, G - sc, 4 sc (56 sts) sl st into first st, ch 1

Round 2: W - 3 sc, [O - dc cluster x 2, W - 6 sc] x 6, O - dc cluster x 2, 3 sc (56 sts) sl st into first st, ch 1
Round 3: [W - 7 sc, G - sc] x 6, 8 sc (56 sts) sl st into first st, ch 1
Round 4: W - 7 sc, [O - dc cluster x 2, W - 6 sc] x 5, O - dc cluster x 2, 7 sc (56 sts) sl st into first st, ch 1
Round 5: W - 3 sc, [G - sc, W - 7 sc] x 6, G - sc, 4 sc (56 sts) sl st into first st, ch 1
Round 6: W - 3 sc, [O - dc cluster x 2, W - 6 sc] x 6, O - dc cluster x 2, 3 sc (56 sts) sl st into first st, ch 1
Round 7: 56 sc (56 sts) sl st into first st, ch 1
Round 8: 56 sc (56 sts)sl st into first st, cut your yarn and weave in your ends.
With you starting chain facing upwards and the right side of work towards you, fasten yarn into the first chain of your starting chain, make 1 sc in each chain around, (56 sts) sl st tog, cut yarn and weave in ends.
This gives you a headband with nice edges on both sides.

Round 1: sc inc, 23 sc, 3 sc in last chain, now working on other side of chain, 24 sc (52 sts) sl st into first st, ch 1
Round 2: sc inc x 2, 23 sc, sc inc x 3, 23 sc, sc inc (58 sts) sl st into first st, ch 1
Round 3: [sc inc, sc] x 2, 23 sc, [sc inc, sc] x 3, 23 sc, sc inc, sc (64 sts) sl st into first st, cut yarn and weave in ends.
Tie your tie over the slip stitch seam of you headband.
