Do you feel ready to start? Good! Lets begin!

How to choose hooks and yarn

To know what hooks to choose in an ocean of options its good to start with some basic hooks. Depending on what you will be crocheting the hooks comes in different sizes.
In different countries the name on the hooks vary, but you can almost always find the mm of each hook size.

To have hooks that you can use to make most patterns i recommend the following sizes:

  • 2,5mm
  • 3,0mm
  • 3,5mm
  • 4,0mm
  • 4,5mm
  • 5,0mm
  • 5,5mm
  • 6,0mm

But if you are new to crochet and just want to dip your toes in, i recommend that you choose what you want to make and buy the hook for that pattern.
Then when you fall in love with crocheting, and i promise you will, you can buy more hooks and build a yarn stash!
