Pattern info specifically to this pattern
The ribbed edge and the hat is made separately.
The increases are made by working 1 hdc in the stitch and 1 fpdc (front post double crochet) is made around the post directly under the hdc.
Each round ends with a sl st in the top of the first st and the chain used to start each round is not counted as a stitch.

Materials
Yarn: I used Lady from Jarbo, 3-4 skeins – you can check replacement yarns at yarnsub for one that’s easier for you to get your hand on.
Hook: 4,0mm for the ribbing and 4,5mm for the hat

Kids
With crochet hook 4,0mm.
Ch 11
1. Starting in second chain from hook make 1 sc in each chain (10) ch 1, turn
Now working in back loop only.
2-64. 1 sc in each st (10) ch 1, turn
Place your short ends together and sl st through both ends.
Cut your yarn and secure your ends.
Hat
With crochet hook 4,5mm.
