Pattern info:

This pattern is worked in rows, 4 rows are repeated over and over to get the look of the cowl.

Each stitch is separated with ,

When a sequence of stitches is repeated these are written within * – *

When a set of stitches is made in the same stitch these are written within the same comma mark and separated with a – .

This pattern is written in US crochet terms

Materials needed:

Yarn: approx. 150 gr of chunky yarn – I used paintbox simply chunky

Hook: 5,5mm

Needle

Scissors

Gauge: 13 hdc x 9 rows = 10x10cm / 4×4”

R – row

Sc – single crochet

Hdc – half double crochet

Dc – double crochet

Sk – skip

Sl st – slip stitch

St/sts – stitch/stitches

Ch2 space – the space made from chaining 2 the previous row

R1. In second ch from hook make 1 hdc in each st, ch 1, turn

R2. 1hdc in first st, bphdc in each st until last st, 1hdc in last st, ch 1, turn

R3. 1sc in first st, *sk 2 sts, in next st make 1sc-ch2-1sc*, Repeat until 3 sts remains, sk 2, 1sc in last st, ch2 turn

R4. 1dc in first st, in each ch2 space make 3dc, 2dc in last st, ch 1, turn

R5. 1hdc in each st, ch1, turn

R6. 1hdc in first st, bphdc in each st until last st, 1hdc in last st, ch 1, turn

R7. 1sc in first st, *sk 2 sts, in next st make 1sc-ch2-1sc*, Repeat until 3 sts remains, sk 2, 1sc in last st, ch2 turn

R8. 1dc in first st, in each ch2 space make 3dc, 2dc in last st, ch 1, turn

R9. 1hdc in each st, ch1, turn

1sc in first st, *sk 2 sts, in next st make 1sc-ch2-1sc*, Repeat until 3 sts remains, fold The cowl, then continue to repeat *sk 2 sts, in next st make 1sc-ch2-1sc* through both sides and around the cowl until you reach the first corner made, sl st tog and sew in all loose ends.
