Yarn options
For this crochet baby cardigan pattern i used a mix yarn containing baby llama wool, which is a soft and warm yarn. The cardigan can also be made using Paintbox yarns simply aran if you prefer a cooler acrylic yarn.

Materials needed
Yarn: 100-150 gr Llama soft (Balls: 50gr, 150m/164yards), you could check yarnsub for an yarn that’s easier for you to get your hands on.
Hook: 4,0mm
Scissors
Needle
Sizes: 0-3 months, 3-6 months, 6-9 months
Gauge: 16 dc x 9 rows = 10x10cm (4”x4”)
To check your gauge:
Start by chaining 18
1-9. Starting in third chain from hook make 1 dc in each st (16) ch 2, turn
You square should now be 10x10cm (4”x4”)
This cardigan has been designed with a lot of ease as to not have a tight feeling around the child.
The cardigan is crocheted top down with a raglan increase. After the yoke and the body is done you will crochet the arms directly onto the cardigan.
The number of stitches for each size is separated with a / , if there are no / in a row that means that the number written applies to all sizes. Take care to always follow the numbers for the size you have chosen to make.

Hello, is it possible to have the dimensions for all sizes in cm?
Hi
I’m wanting to crochet cardis for the local NICU . Could this pattern be used for preemie sizes if I used the 0-3month size, smaller hooks and DK or even (maybe) 4ply yarn?
Yes that could work, If you make a gauge swatch for the yarn and hook i would be happy to help you make any necessary adjustments:)
