FREE crochet pattern – T-shirt yarn Clutch
This stylish crochet clutch is made with t-shirt yarn and has an extra luxurious feeling with the clasp and big handle. The pattern has step by step pictures to show you how to crochet the bad and will make it an easy pattern for beginners as well as advanced crocheters.

Terms specifically to this pattern:
Puffst – puffstitch worked as follows: Insert hook through skipped st, yarn over and pull through, pull up a loop, *yarn over, through same hole again, yarn over and pull through, pull up a loop* repeat 3 times. You will now have 8 loops on hook

Materials:
Yarn: Approx. 115m of t-shirt yarn
Hook: 6,5mm
Bag lock
Bag chain
D-rings
O-ring locks
Large needle
Scissor
Tips and trix:
Use an aluminium hook, or a hook without handle to allow the yarn to easier glide on your hook Read the whole pattern before you start.

Starting the pattern!
Ch 15
1. In second ch from hook, make 1 sc in each st (14) ch 2, turn
2. *Sk 1, 1 sc in next st , puffst in skipped st* x7 (14) ch 2, turn
3. *Sk 1, 1 sc in next st , puffst in skipped st* x7 (14) ch 2, turn
4. *Sk 1, 1 sc in next st, puffst in skipped st* x3, 1 dc in next 2 sts, *Sk 1, 1 sc in next st, puffst in skipped st* x3 (14) ch 2, turn
5-16. *Sk 1, 1 sc in next st , puffst in skipped st* x7 (14) ch 2, turn
17. *Sk 1, 1 sc in next st, puffst in skipped st* x6, sk 1, hdc in last st
Fasten yarn and weave in ends.
Edge:
Fasten yarn in your first ch made, the work 1 sc over puffst and 3 sc in between each puffst, all the way round, when you reach last side (your foundation ch). Make 1 slst in each ch, make a false st to complete the round then fasten your yarn and weave in your ends.

Sides of bag:
Make 2.
Ch 5
1. In second ch from hook make 1 sc in each ch (4) ch 1, turn
2-7. 1 sc in each ch (4) ch 1, turn
8. 1 sc in each st (4) cut yarn but leave approx 60 cm for sewing.
Sewing the bag:
Thread the needle with the yarn left from your sides, start from the inner front corner of the bag ( the front side that’s under the lid), sew the side pieces in place, see pictures for extra guidance, use the yarn tail to sew the D-rings in place.

Handle:
Ch 19
1. In second ch from hook make 1 sc in each st (18) ch 2, turn
2. 1 dc in each st (18) ch 1, turn
3. 1 sc in each st (18) turn
4. Work sl st through both sides of handle to crochet it close.
Fasten yarn.

Your lock will be placed over the 2 dc made row 4.
Tips when fastening the upper part of the bag lock, use some water where you will have your look, use a clean plier to press the yarn and then wiggle the lock in place, the use the screws to secure the lock to your bag.
