FREE Crochet pattern – A Super Quick to make Hook Bracelet

If you’ve ever set your hook down only to find it missing seconds later… this pattern is for you!

Today I’m sharing a quick and practical free crochet pattern: a bracelet that connects to your hook with a cord, so it’s always right where you need it. It’s beginner-friendly, fun to customize, and a great little project for using some scrap yarn. And will make the perfect gift for any crocheter!

What Is a Crochet Hook Bracelet?

This simple wrist band has a thin cord that attaches to your hook, so even if you set it down while watching TV or chasing a toddler, it stays nearby. No more searching under couch cushions!

It’s perfect for:

  • Forgetful crocheters (guilty!)
  • Crochet-on-the-go situations, like your car
  • Gifting to crochet-loving friends

Materials Needed

  • Small amount of cotton yarn I used Durable Coral
  • 2.5 mm crochet hook
  • small hair tie, eyeglass strap
  • Scissors & yarn needle

Abbreviations/Terms Used

ch - chain

sc - single crochet

dc - double crochet

puff - Puff Stitch

1. Yarn over, insert hook into stitch.

2. Yarn over and pull up a loop (2 loops on hook).

3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 two a total of four times.

4. Yarn over and pull through all loops on hook.

5. seal the puff by making a chain.

st(s) - stitch(es)

ch-sp - chain space

  • You’ll make a short bracelet band to fit your wrist.
  • Then, you’ll crochet in a cord that extends to your hook.

Let’s begin!

With cotton yarn and 2,5mm crochet hook:

Make a slip knot on your hook,

Row 1: 5 sc over the hair tie (5 sts) ch 3, turn

Row 2: in the third stitch, puff, ch 1, puff, dc into the last st, ch 3, turn

Row 3: into chain space between the puffs from previous row- puff, ch 1, puff, dc in top of ch 3, ch 3, turn

Row 4-7: repeat row 3

Row 8: make your first puff in ch-sp, ch 1, pull up your chain a bit and take your hook out, place the loop through one end of the glass strap, reinsert your hook and pull your loop tight again - Pictures available in the premium version if needed - make your second puff in ch-sp, dc in top of ch 3, ch 3, turn

Row 9: Have your strap positioned to the left, working on the right side of strap loop, make your puff st, ch 1, move your strap to the right and make the next puff on the left side of the strap loop, dc in top of ch 3, ch 3, turn - Pictures available in the premium version if needed

Row 10-14: repeat row 3

Row 15: into chain space between the puffs from previous row- puff, ch 1, puff, dc in top of ch 3, ch 1, turn

Row 16: sc in first st, sc in top of puff, sc in ch-sp, sc in top of puff, sc in top of ch 3, ch 1, turn

Row 17: you will now work through both the stitch and the hair tie, making 1 sc in each st, cut your yarn and fasten your ends. - Pictures available in the premium version if needed
