To crochet this kitten plushie you will need:
You need to be familiar with the following crochet stitches:
- ch – chain
- sc – single crochet
- inc – increase (2 sc in same stitch)
- sc2tog – single crochet 2 stitches together (decrease)
- mr – magic ring
- st(s) – stitch(es)
Pattern details to keep in mind:
- Stitch counts are listed at the end of each round in parentheses — for example: (21 sts).
- Stitch changes and sequences are separated by commas. Example: 1 sc, sc inc, 4 sc means: 1 single crochet in the first stitch, 2 single crochets in the next stitch (increase), 1 single crochet in each of the next 4 stitches.
- [ ] brackets are used to indicate short repeated sequences — e.g., [inc, sc] x 3 means: repeat the sequence 3 times.
- Insert safety eyes between Rounds 4 and 5 of the head, approximately 7–8 stitches apart.
- Optional details like eyelashes, eyebrows, and the nose can be added after shaping.
- Stuff the head firmly before final decreases.
- Sew all pieces together securely after assembly.
